Question

what else besides kohns

Answer

Besides Khon’s on Palafox, I’d choose based on what kind of sushi night you want:

  1. Sake Cafébest value / biggest selection
    4880 N. 9th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32503 · (850) 494-9999
Their made-to-order all-you-can-eat sushi lunch starts at $24, daily 11 a.m.–3 p.m., with a 90-minute seating limit. They also have sashimi, specialty rolls, hibachi, and a full regular menu. This is my pick for groups, hungry people, or anyone who wants to try lots of rolls without a downtown-date-night bill. Menu and AYCE details

  2. Chuck’s Fishbest upscale dinner alternative
Go here when you want excellent seafood and sushi in a more polished setting, rather than a sushi-only meal. Better for a celebration or business dinner; expect it to cost more than Sake Café.

  3. Slippery Mermaid Sushi in Navarre — best creative-roll destination
Worth the drive east if you love elaborate specialty rolls and a livelier, more casual beach-town feel. It’s not the quick Pensacola option, but it’s a local favorite for roll-heavy orders.

  4. Ichiban Japanese Sushi & Grillbest low-key, classic Japanese option
A dependable choice for familiar sushi, hot sake, and grilled Japanese dishes when your group may not all want raw fish.

My quick call: choose Sake Café for value and variety; choose Chuck’s for a nicer dinner; choose Slippery Mermaid if adventurous specialty rolls are the whole point.

👉 Are you after sashimi/nigiri quality, all-you-can-eat, or big specialty rolls?
