Question
The lid on my trash can is broken
Answer
If it’s your regular curbside cart, report it for repair/replacement rather than trying to tape it—a broken lid can let rain in and may make the cart hard for the truck to service.
- City of Pensacola sanitation customers: call Sanitation Services at (850) 435-1890 and ask for a cart/lid repair or replacement.
- ECUA customers in unincorporated Escambia County: contact ECUA Customer Service at (850) 476-0480, email customer.service@ecua.fl.gov, or use the MyECUA app.
- If your cart says WM / Waste Management: submit a “Container Issue” request in My WM and select Damaged. Put the cart out with clear access; WM notes that gates/locks need to be open for service.
When you call, have your service address ready and say whether the hinge/lid alone is broken or the whole cart is cracked—sometimes they can replace just the lid.
