Question

I don’t like vinyl events

Answer

Skip Vinyl. The best downtown alternative I found is:

“Anne of Green Gables” — downtown theater

A classic theatrical performance at 18 N. Palafox St. tonight. That’s the best fit if you want an actual planned activity downtown without a club/concert atmosphere. The event listing I found did not reliably show curtain time or ticket details, so I’d confirm directly before you head over.

Palafox Market summer pop-up

There’s also a summer pop-up featuring local musician Ian Nelson and Palafox Market vendors. That’s a more relaxed browse-and-listen option—better for an afternoon outing than a late-night plan.

My pick for you: theater if you want a real evening destination; the pop-up if you want to stroll, shop local, and keep it casual. If neither appeals, do downtown dinner and a Palafox walk, then head to the beach for the 8 PM Bamboo Willie’s music set instead.

👉 Would you rather do theater, a casual market/stroll, or dinner somewhere downtown with a good atmosphere?
