1. Navy Point Park — best easy, waterfront neighborhood walk.
   About 2½ miles along Bayou Grande, with water views, a kayak launch, picnic tables, playgrounds, and outdoor fitness equipment. It is flat and especially nice near sunset. No restrooms, so plan accordingly.

2. Tarkiln Bayou Preserve State Park — best for a peaceful nature walk.
   The accessible boardwalk crosses wet prairie and pitcher-plant habitat, with additional nature trails if you want more mileage. It is open 8 a.m.–sunset daily; entry is $3 per vehicle or $2 for pedestrians/bicyclists. In August, go early—this is gorgeous but buggy and exposed in spots.

3. Community Maritime Park + Bruce Beach — best downtown stroll.
   Park at Maritime Park and walk the bayfront toward Bruce Beach: paved/sidewalk-heavy, good views, benches, and easy access to downtown coffee or lunch afterward. Visit Pensacola’s suggested route follows Reus Street, W. Cedar Street, the bayfront path by the stadium, then the multi-use bridge into Bruce Beach.

4. Big Lagoon State Park — best for a longer, varied outing.
   Expect more than 5 miles of easy-to-moderate paths through coastal scrub, pine flatwoods, marsh, and lagoon scenery. Great if you want birds and a genuine walk rather than a lap around a city park.

5. Southwest Greenway / Jones Swamp — best low-key in-town trail.
   This growing greenway has accessible boardwalks and wide, stable trails east of Fairfield Drive; west of Fairfield is more rustic. It’s open sunrise to sunset and is a good choice when you want woods without driving out to Perdido.

Skip Bay Bluffs Park for now: it remains closed while the City plans boardwalk reconstruction, so don’t make the drive expecting access. City closure/project update

For an uncomplicated everyday walk, I’d choose Navy Point; for nature, Tarkiln; for a date or visitors, Maritime Park/Bruce Beach. Bring water and bug spray in August, and start close to sunrise if you can.
