Question
so me a bit more
Answer
⭐ PensacolaCoPilot Preferred — Health & Hope Clinic
This is not a hospital or emergency room, but it may be the better choice for routine primary, preventive, dental, pharmacy, or Narcan services if you’re uninsured or medically underserved in Escambia or Santa Rosa County.

Gulf Breeze Hospital: a closer look
Gulf Breeze Hospital is a full-service acute-care community hospital within the Baptist Health Care system. Its biggest advantage is location: residents of Gulf Breeze, Pensacola Beach, Midway, and parts of Navarre can receive hospital care without crossing into Pensacola.
- Address: 1110 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, FL 32561
- Hospital information: (448) 227-8100
- Emergency-room reception: (448) 227-8250
- Outpatient scheduling: (448) 227-3500
- Imaging/Radiology: (448) 227-8570
- Website: Gulf Breeze Hospital
- Campus map: View PDF
Medicare still displays the older number (850) 934-2000, but Baptist’s own current directory lists (448) 227-8100, so I would use the newer Baptist number.
What it offers
According to Baptist’s current services directory, the hospital provides:
- Emergency care
- General surgery
- Inpatient and outpatient care
- Laboratory and diagnostic imaging
- Heart and vascular services
- Stroke care
- Women’s services
- Cancer services through Ciano Cancer Center
- Private inpatient rooms
- Access to rehabilitation and orthopedic specialists
The Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is on the same campus, making Gulf Breeze particularly convenient for sports injuries, orthopedic procedures, and rehabilitation.
One important distinction: Baptist’s current labor-and-delivery suites and obstetric emergency department are at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, not something I would assume is handled at Gulf Breeze Hospital. Confirm the delivery location with your obstetrician.
How patients rate it
Current Medicare Care Compare data, updated August 13, 2026, shows generally favorable patient-experience results:
- 83% said nurses always communicated well, versus 80% nationally
- 83% said doctors always communicated well, versus 80% nationally
- 80% said their room and bathroom were always clean, versus 74% nationally
- 66% found the area around their room quiet at night, versus 60% nationally
- 89% received information about recovering at home, versus 86% nationally
Healthgrades currently reports that 73% of patients would definitely recommend it. These ratings are useful, but your required specialty and physician’s privileges matter more than a single overall score.
Visiting and practical details
As of August 16, 2026, Baptist lists daytime visiting hours for Gulf Breeze Hospital as 6 a.m.–9 p.m., with two visitors at a time. Policies can change by unit or patient condition; call (850) 675-8216 to confirm before going. See the patient and visitor information page.
For a planned visit, bring:
- Photo identification
- Insurance card, if insured
- Medication list, including dosages
- Allergy and medical-history information
- Physician’s order or appointment paperwork
- Advance directive or health-care surrogate paperwork, when applicable
When I would choose it
I’d choose Gulf Breeze Hospital for nearby emergency evaluation, imaging, general inpatient care, routine surgery, or care connected with Andrews Institute—especially if avoiding bridge traffic matters.
For severe trauma or a highly complex service such as advanced cardiovascular surgery, ECMO, or certain neurological procedures, a larger tertiary facility may have broader capabilities. In a true emergency, however, go to the nearest ER or call 911 rather than trying to select a hospital while delaying care.
